Permits and Approvals

Pool permits, plan reviews, inspections, and related fees are not included in any IronStream stock tank pool project. Requirements vary by city, county, MUD, HOA, property, and installation. Before installation, the property owner is solely responsible for confirming all applicable requirements and obtaining any required permits, approvals, inspections, or variances.

IronStream does not pull or provide permits for stock tank pools and does not represent that any installation is permit-exempt. Required barriers, fencing, setbacks, electrical work, safety equipment, or other code-related improvements not specifically included in the signed agreement remain the property owner’s responsibility.

Temporary Above-Ground Pool Notice

IronStream stock tank pools are sold and installed as removable, temporary above-ground residential pool systems. They are not permanent in-ground pools and are not designed or represented for diving, jumping, sliding, commercial or public use, or permanent incorporation into a home or other structure.

The tank must remain fully above grade on a firm, level, properly prepared surface. These pools can be drained, disconnected, and removed. The pool must not be buried, structurally altered, relocated, or permanently enclosed without first confirming all applicable codes, manufacturer instructions, and permit requirements. Any surrounding deck, patio, wall, enclosure, electrical circuit, plumbing, or other permanent improvement is considered a separate scope of work and may require additional permits, inspections, engineering, or licensed contractors.

Describing a pool as temporary, removable, or above ground does not guarantee exemption from permits, inspections, barriers, setbacks, electrical requirements, HOA restrictions, insurance requirements, or other regulations. Final classification and approval are determined by the local authority having jurisdiction.

Owner Responsibilities and Safe Use

Following installation, the property owner assumes responsibility for the pool’s safe operation and use, including water care, equipment maintenance, freeze protection, supervision, access control, and compliance with all applicable laws and product instructions.

Children and inexperienced swimmers must be continuously supervised by a capable adult. Diving, jumping, sliding, and unsafe horseplay are strictly prohibited. Ladders and steps should be secured, locked, or removed when the pool is unattended. The owner must maintain all required barriers, gates, alarms, covers, drain protections, and other safety equipment and follow all warnings and instructions provided with the liner, pump, filter, heater, chiller, and accessories.
