The reliability of a landscape lighting system depends heavily on the work you cannot see. We calculate system load, wire length and expected voltage loss before selecting the transformer, cable layout and connection points. Larger properties may require multiple wire runs, balanced loads or higher-capacity controls to maintain consistent performance throughout the system.

We use high-quality direct-burial landscape lighting wire and professional-rated, waterproof connectors for every splice and connection. Connections are protected and installed underground where appropriate. We do not build systems around temporary wire nuts, exposed splices or shortcuts that can lead to corrosion and intermittent failures.

Every fixture is installed with an additional service loop of wire buried near its base. This gives you room to adjust or relocate the fixture as plants mature, landscape beds change or maintenance requires access. It is a small installation detail that makes a major difference over the life of the system.

IronStream offers a professional 24-light FX Luminaire demonstration kit with transformer and timer that can be set up at your property for up to 48 hours. This allows you to see how different lighting positions, brightness levels and techniques will look on your actual home and landscape before choosing a permanent system.

A nighttime demonstration can help you compare tree uplighting, architectural accents, walkway lighting, moonlighting and other effects. It also makes it easier to determine the right number of fixtures and identify areas where additional lighting would provide the most value.

Once installation is complete, we test the system, verify operating voltage, aim each fixture and make final nighttime adjustments where included. Fixtures are positioned to create the intended effect while reducing unnecessary glare and dark spots.

All fixtures are LED for lower energy consumption, reduced heat and longer operating life compared with traditional halogen landscape lighting. The system is also designed with future landscape growth and expansion in mind.
